This is the first set of photos I’ve taken for the blog in 2019. whoops! I didn’t mean to take such a long break from this platform but then I realized my last post was two weeks ago! To be honest, I got distracted by some other projects I’ve got going on. And I’m not one of those people working on a “secret project” – I’ll tell you all about what has been stealing my attention from this blog.
I’m not sure I have mentioned it much on my blog but I know I have on my Youtube a bit but I have a small Poshmark business. Over the past few months, I’ve realized how much I love reselling clothing and how lucrative it can be! So, for the past few weeks I’ve been focusing most of my free attention on that platform, whether it’s hitting a thrift store, listing, photographing, measuring, etc. It can take a lot of time to run a small business like that on top of my day job, this blog, and my youtube channel. And I know these platforms are quite small but I do still love working on them and creating content. At the first of the year, I got quite sick for the first few weeks and so I’ve been focusing on something I can do from my bed – Poshmark! Going out and taking photos seemed like such a monumental task when I was feeling so ill.
One of my goals for 2019 is to create more content than I am consuming. So far, I haven’t done that great of a job at least in terms of this blog or my youtube. I’ve noticed all of my attention has been going to Poshmark, which has been fun but I need to figure out a way to balance all of the projects I want to complete. Going forward I do want to talk about my reselling journey more here and on my instagram. I think it is so amazing that so many women are creating businesses for themselves by doing something they love and I want to be one of those people. I always thought that I would turn blogging or that sort of thing into my some kind of income but I realized I need to focus my energy on multiple things – this blog, my youtube, social media, and Poshmark. I’m still trying to figure out how to make them all connected in a way that makes the most sense.
For now, I need to figure out how to balance everything. I feel awful because I really haven’t taken a single outfit photo for the month of January. I have been dying to shoot this outfit as I think I’ve worn it 4 times over the past month! It is the perfect work from home outfit. Leggings? Check. Oversized sweater? check! I normally wear loafers with it but it was just way too chilly.
