Parisian style is something I’ve always admired, as most people have. The simplicity, the classic styles, the effortlessness – it’s all perfect! Most of the time, my style is a bit brighter and bolder than the Parisian style you might think of but I knew with this outfit that I had to use a hint of Parisian inspiration.
I knew I wanted to keep this look simple to highlight my new (to me!) Breton striped top. Something about it felt so Parisian and classic to me. I’ve mentioned it before but whenever I wear an outfit like this, with such classic and timeless pieces, it makes me want a capsule wardrobe with only pieces like this. But I know I’d get bored. I’d miss my crazy patterns, colors, and textures that my current wardrobe provides.
You guys know I can’t help myself if I find a cute striped top at the thrift store. My collection is getting a little out of hand but I am trying to make sure I give one away or sell one if I pick up another one. I’m also a sucker if I find an Ann Taylor Loft piece that is an XXS petite. I don’t find it too often but when I do (and it’s cute) I always pick it up! There is something so magical about sleeves actually fitting when you’re petite like me!
My jeans were actually a retail purchase from LOFT. They are seriously the most comfortable jeans I have ever worn – especially for a pair of skinny jeans! I think they are “technically” leggings (or that’s what LOFT calls them) but they are very thick, have pockets, and feel like denim to me! Seriously, if you are in need of a pair of jeans – check these out!! They come in a wide range of sizes too, which is always nice. I’ve got them linked down below so definitely check them out! (They also are not an affiliate link. I just love them!!)
