Feeling Like Myself Again

I remember in high school I had a pair of brown corduroy pants that fit similarly to these. I loved them. I remember wearing them with a navy and white striped sweater. It’s funny to remember that because, like I mentioned in my last post, it’s nice to think about how my style has changed or in this case, hasn’t changed. It’s also fun to see that I still like a certain style after having not worn it for probably 6 years! (Pretty sure I got rid of those pants when I went to college because they didn’t fit…)

I don’t know why but recently, I’ve found two pairs of high-waisted pants that fit me recently!! The first pair is these beautiful Corduroy Pants from Urban Outfitters. These pants are definitely more expensive than I normally would pay for almost any item of clothing but I really love how they fit and feel. Plus, BDG jeans last a very long time so I know I’ll get my cost per wear out of these!

It also finally feels like winter here so I’m able to wear my cozy striped turtleneck! I’m very excited about that. I only get to break this one out a few times a year but I think it works perfectly with these pants.

This look is definitely one I’ve been wanting to achieve for a long time. I’ve looked for looser pants like this to wear with my combat boots for a while. I’ve mentioned it before, but I am definitely inspired by menswear so whenever I find a pair of pants that fit like they’d fit a man (or similarily) I have to pick them up! I’ve been really into looser fitting pants lately. They’re just more comfortable, especially with my chronic health issues! These pants are comfortable enough for me to wear even when I’m in a ‘flare.’ and it is awesome. I used to give up pants and only wear skirts/dresses but looser pants help combat that and make me feel a bit more like me.
