This post is one of those rare times when all of the articles of clothing I’m wearing are not second hand. I feel a little guilty giving in to fast fashion but I know these are pieces I will wear for a long time. Sometimes there is just something nice about going into a clean, well-organized store where it’s easy to find your size. But I still am trying to be as ethical as possible and shopping at T.J Maxx probably isn’t the best thing to do…. but alas,
I never really thought I’d get on board with the fluted sleeves trend but when I tried this dress on at TJ. Maxx I changed my mind very quickly! The sleeves on this dress are subtle enough that they don’t get in the way and don’t swallow me whole. I also found a really cute fluted sleeve sweater at the thrift store this weekend! I couldn’t believe my luck. But you’ll have to wait and see it next week.
My shoes are another really recent purchase to my wardrobe. I have an incredibly hard time finding shoes that fit because believe it or not… I wear a size 2 (American) in shoes! That’s girls’ size! Thankfully, so many retailers are coming out with fashionable girls’ shoes nowadays but that was not the case when I was in high school or even college! I’ve always had good luck at payless so I picked up a few pairs this past week.
I feel like recently all of my shoes have fallen apart because I’ve worn them to death. Seriously. My favorite pair of slip on’s, black flats, and ankle boots all fell apart within the last few months. So, I’ve been trying to find some replacements and these black flats might do the trick! Hopefully, they are easy to wear in.
