Like a stereotypical blogger, I think fall will always be my favorite season. I always feel a little lighter when the seasons change. The cooler air has definitely been improving my mood. This summer was brutal and not just in the temperatures. I’m glad to see it and the warm weather go. And granted it is pretty much November, it finally feels like fall in Arkansas.
One thing I’ve never really talked about on this blog is my mental and physical health. For the past few months, I’ve been walking around in this fog. I can hardly remember what the last few months entailed except for the fact that I became an extension of my couch. Part of it was, I was on a medication I should not have been on, which was causing some major mental and physical side effects! I’ve also been dealing with some chronic health issues that seemed to be exacerbated by my brain fog. It’s also hard because, by the middle of November this year, my chronic health issues will have been going on for a year. But I have high hopes for this fall/winter.
On a more lighthearted note, can we talk about this jacket? It is PERFECT. I think rust is now one of my all-time favorite colors. I picked up this jacket back in September and haven’t had a chance to wear it until now. It’s one of the rare pieces that isn’t thrifted in my wardrobe right now. It’s actually from Old Navy. It comes in all different colors and I had a hard time deciding. But I am really happy I picked it up. I think I’ll be wearing it all fall and winter especially with some nice cozy sweaters layered underneath.
Everything else is thrifted though, which I’m always happy about. I thought perhaps my love of turtlenecks would die down after the past two winters but nope. Still going strong! And this one with little dogs on it is no exception.
Jacket: Old Navy
Shirt, Jeans, Shoes: Thrifted
Are you as excited as me for the cooler weather?
