For the Love of Orange

It’s been a really dreary week so I resorted to shooting in my apartment once again.

I never normally wear bright lipstick outside my house. I’ve tried wearing it a few times but I always felt very self-conscious about it. I felt like people were staring at me, which I’m sure they weren’t. Since starting blogging I feel like I’ve become a lot more daring with my style but I still can’t seem to throw on a red lip (or orange!) and head out the door. I admire people that can embrace bold choices like that but I guess I’m just not there yet.

One look I have been wearing recently is this peach-y/orange eye look! I am in love with how it turned out. I was really inspired by the Anastasia Modern Renaissance palette (which I am totally lusting after!). I’ve been seeing a lot of bloggers use it in tutorials and I wanted to try and find a similar peachy shade. I actually ended up using a blush but I really like how it turned out. I think it’ll work really well into the fall!

I’m planning on doing a tutorial for it soon so be on the lookout for that! Also – would you be interested in seeing a video tutorial or a photo tutorial? I’m thinking about making some videos soon but we shall see.

Shirt: Thrifted (here) (this one from Modcloth is cute!)

Do you ever feel self-conscious in what you wear?
