I normally try and shoot during the golden hour of the day, which is becoming easier and harder all at the same time now that the days are getting longer! It’s easier because I can go out after work and shoot but it’s harder because I like to shoot in the early mornings before people are out but by the time I get outside (7:30 – 8ish) on the weekends the light is just too harsh! Bur with these, I decided to play around with the light a little. It’s fun to experiment and while these might not be hugely innovative I liked how they turned out.
As for my outfit – you guessed it is all thrifted! I don’t really have dress this shape. I just love the floaty bit on the bottom (I can’t think of what to call it…). It’s actually a medium but I figured I could belt it and it worked great! And really, I just thought this print screamed the 70s for some reason.
There are some cute details on this dress that I didn’t really notice before I picked it up. It’s got a raw hem on the bust and a very slight hi-low skirt. And it’s actually a vey sheer material, which you can’t tell in these photos because I threw on a black skirt/tank top underneath. My boots were thrifted about a year and a half ago. They’re actually rodeo boots! But they just toughen up any outfit. I love it.
Everything in this outfit is second hand.
I hope everyone is having a wonderful long weekend! I sure am!
Let me know what you got up to this weekend in the comments!
