I’ve had quite a few seasonal jobs – one of them being out west in Wyoming. While I had a job where I lived in the wilderness and did manual labor, I had a few off days in the a small town in Wyoming. I wasn’t really fond of my job (living with your coworkers can get exhausting) so I spent my off days exploring Laramie and hanging out with friends. This outfit, while trend-oriented, was also definitely inspired by my time in the west. I still find myself drawn to western inspired pieces and styles.
I found this dress at my favorite thrift store a few weeks ago and knew it had to be mine. It was actually down to my ankles, which was not flattering so I got it hemmed and am absolutely in love with it. Despite it seeming to be such a trendy piece – I think I’ll wear this dress for so much longer than the trend stays around.
My tights were a bit of an impulse buy from CVS the other day. I was browsing the isles and saw they had tights. My only pair of black tights got a huge rip in them so I figured I’d try a new pair out. I went for this ribbed pair from Hanes for a few reasons. Ribbing is adorable and they had very small sizes! I always find tights slid down me during the day because I’m so short but these fit me perfectly and are so comfortable!
Both my belt and oxfords are second hand.
Have you ever lived out west whether that’s in the United States or elsewhere?
